Tern at the Waterline
DANUBE DELTA, ROMANIA
A tern lifts over still water in the Danube Delta. Its wings rise into a sharp vertical, while the body stays low and balanced above the reed-fringed surface. The bird’s red bill and dark cap give the frame its clearest point of contrast. A small mound of grass and mud holds the perch in an otherwise open sheet of water. The image reads as a field note: one bird, one nest site, one quiet margin of habitat.
