Snow Globe on a Winter Drive

LAPLAND, FINLAND

A small snow globe sits on the dashboard, its red base catching the light before the road curves away. Outside, the trees are heavy with frost and the low winter sun turns the verge gold. The scene reads as a pause in motion: warm cabin, cold landscape, a holiday object framed against the road north. The French lettering on the globe gives the image a quiet, traveled detail. Everything is held in a clear winter contrast, between the car interior and the pale country beyond.
