Queensland Drift

Queensland Drift

QUEENSLAND, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

The sequence moves from a first close encounter with Australia’s wildlife to a coast defined by distance, brightness, and salt. Brisbane opens the journey with a casual, almost startled intimacy: human body and kangaroo sharing the same ground. From there the postcard widens into the pale expanse of Whitsunday sand, then into Fraser Island’s wreck-strewn shore, where the beach feels both open and stranded. The final frame brings the journey back to the city edge, with Gold Coast towers standing behind an empty beach and a solitary figure. Across the set, Queensland appears as a place of glare, surf, and sudden stillness. The mood is personal but unforced, moving between amusement, exposure, and the quiet scale of the coast.
