Pelicans Rising from the Water

DANUBE DELTA, TULCEA COUNTY, ROMANIA

Two pelicans lift through the shallows as cormorants scatter around them. The frame holds the moment just after the push-off, when wings, spray and balance are all in motion. White bodies and black wing tips cut across the pale water with a clear, abrupt geometry. The background stays soft and dark, keeping the action low and immediate in the foreground. It reads as a field record of feeding and escape behavior in open wetland light.
