Great Egret at the Waterline
DANUBE DELTA, ROMANIA
A great egret bends into the shallows, its reflection breaking under a thin surface ripple. The frame is spare and observational, with the bird isolated against open water. Long red legs and a dark wing edge give the only strong color accents in an otherwise muted field. Foreground stems and a soft horizon keep the scene anchored in marsh habitat. It reads as a straightforward field record: one bird, one pause, one quiet reach for the water.
